Ukraine Delivers Grain Aid to Syria

Ukraine has initiated a humanitarian aid program by delivering 500 tonnes of Ukrainian grain to Syria as part of the Grain from Ukraine initiative. This initial shipment, transported by more than two dozen lorries, aims to support food security by providing free flour to over 33,000 Syrian households, which will feed approximately 167,000 Syrians for a month. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha confirmed that this is the first batch, with Ukraine prepared to supply more in the future. Additionally, 23,000 tonnes of maize have been sent to Mozambique and Malawi under the same program.
